There you go. It worked perfectly. Preview displayed it. I'm convinced the blog exists. Blogspot has not failed me in some way, barred me, thrown me out or something. I'm sure it is chinese censorship.
 
How ridiculous.
 
But China is a big country. It is full of the ridiculous. And it harbours much brilliance, too. It harbours brilliance, I would say, but is not 'full' of it. No. More 'full' of the ridiculous, the nonesensical.
 
And it makes me think. And I reckon the reason is that China is truly a 'backward' country. It is still not far from medievalism.  That's true. The Chinese government's claim for third world status or 'developing nation' status for China is founded on a solid fact: this country is truly not far from the days of medievalism.
 
The Qing (pronounced 'ching') dynasty (meaning one-family rule, i.e. monarchism, I think, as best I can make out) came to an end only in 1911 or 1912 or something.
 
Modern China only dates from then.  And that's debatable.
 
But monarchies still exist in the world in modern nations don't they? England. So what's the difference? Well the monarchy in England does not rule the country. The monarchy in China ruled the country.  Right up to 1911 (12??
 
And they ruled it in a despotic, medieval manner.
 
What's the characteristic of that rule? The Chinese taught me that word, or phrase. It is 'rule by man' rather than 'rule by law'.  The Chinese government of today has no hesitation about pronouncing they are currently - currently, right now - changing this country to 'rule by law'.
 
They are telling us, telling the nation, telling each other and telling the world that they are currently enacting laws and regulations and creating offices and policies intended to CHANGE this country into a country that is rule by law. "Rule by Law".
 
That is: they clearly state that at this present time it is not a country wholly ruled by law.
 
How many other nations would have the clear sight and the courage to recognise that within themselves and deliberately take steps to change it and fearlessly announce the fact?
 
You've got to hand it to China and its government.  They mean business. They know the realities, they know their own country and they know what needs to be done and they are trying to do it.
 
It is a great venture. A very great venture. To apply to one fifth of the world's population such a sweeping change in governance is a  collosal task, an enormous venture of the greatest possible magnitude. No other nation in the world has ever done anything like it. No other nation could every do anything like it - except perhaps India - because no other nation is so populous.
 
They are doing it here and deserve the world's praise, help and encouragement for it.
 
But the fact that they are doing it means, of course, that the current situation is not one of rule of law and that's very very true.
 
And the 'Rule of Man' that currently exists and that they are trying to root out and change is a hangover from the medieval days.
 
In medieval times people are ruled by men. Despotic privileged men who make laws - "laws" - as it suits them. Who essentially are laws unto themselves within their own fiefdom.
 
I had never realised this completely until I ran across this Chinese situation and bald statement of their own facts.
 
So there it is.
 
And that's another thing that makes censorship of web pages so ludicrous. 
 

 
I've just seen my blog for the first time. I'm still in China and I still find it impossible to see the page http://abrogard.blogspot.com
But by going to the Template page I can click preview and see the blog via another URL that doesn't get blocked.
I'm assuming that I'm being blocked by Chinese censorship.
 
It seems ludicrous but it also seems to be true that the Chinese are blocking some web pages.
 
Ludicrous because the chances of completely and/or permanently blocking anything are tiny - I'd say about impossible. If anyone wanted to beat this I'm sure they could come up with a way fairly quickly. I'm sure there are those that have already done so.
 
Ludicrous because it makes a mockery of what China claims to be doing vis-a-vis the rest of the world.
 
Ludicrous because that's what it makes China and its government appear to be: ludicrous.
