with this URL: abrogard.blogspot.com and that's the URL this page throws up when I click 'view web page'. It goes off to
find the page and finishes up at that URL with the message - 'not available'.

Now it is insisting I have been published... I will try posting and publishing...

Well I posted a blurb about my URL being abrogard.blogspot.com and the machine setting off for 216.34.7.185 and finishing up
at that URL with a message 'page not found'.... but it didn't appear in the lower pane... I'll try again...

Now there's more problems.... I pressed 'post' this time and it didn't post it to the lower pane...

Ahhh...
now I've got a 'last published' message....
Perhaps I've been published... perhaps I can find my URL... I will open another instance of IE and go look...
Nope... it doesn't work...
I thought perhaps I had the wrong URL but when I select 'view web page' I get sent to the URL I have recorded:
abrogard.blogspot.com (it sets off for 216.34.7.185 and finishes up there with a 'page can't be found')

Hmmm... I see that renews the publish request. I take it 'post' refers to putting this entry onto the web page and 'publish' refers to sending the web page to the server....
My web page isn't being sent to the server....

Well, that moved from the top pane to the bottom pane. The message in the black bar of the bottom pane remains the same...
'Your publish request was sent...'
What can I do?

Here I am again trying to post and publish...
Nothing I do seems to work and I can't find my URL on the net... only the signup site...
I'll try again. I have my previous entries in the bottom pane but when I click 'publish' the message in the black bar is 'your publish request was sent on....' and it never changes...
So now we're in the top pane again... writing this.. with the optin 'post and publish' available....
I will click it...
