hmmmmm.... no luck... the help refers to error numbers... I have no error numbers... nothing to do but leave... adios...
now I get a message 'not pubished yet' ..... I clicked on 'post' only, this time... try again 'post and publish'...
Now if I sign out of this I won't even know how to get back... or how to find my blog... IF I actually have a blog after all this... isn't it amazing how incredibly easy everything gets with the passage of time? Now you can get into a total conundrum in mere seconds after switching on.... while dealing with advanced and nebulous concepts in your head... Once upon a time you would have no greater concept in your head than 'start this programme' and it would take an overt mistake in typing the path and filename to fail....
Now we can follow the child-simple instructions for sophisticated, slick and wonderful new programmes and fail to succeed...
it's lovely.... I've really no idea if I'm posting to my blog or not, if I have a blog or not... I have the message 'blog was not ready' and I have a pane below that showing everything I have written and I have messages saying 'nothing to post' if I try again to post without writing in this pane....... all of that seems contradictory to me.... if I'm trying again surely I don' t need write any more? If there's nothing to post surely there's been a succesful post?.....
Aahhhh... troubles already. I've got an error message on my first attempt to post saying that my blog was not quite ready to be published.. try again...
I try again and it says 'nothing to post'..... this is the world of computers.... Well, not really, we are living in the mind of the programmer, actually, aren't we.... Or in the holes in his mind....
This is my first ever blog post. I have come to blogging via Doctorow's excellent online novel which I just read. He mentioned he has a blog and I tried checking it - what the hell is a blog? - on the web and came to this site, where I'm now, apparently, creating my own blog..... I hope I don't lower the tone of the community....
