Last Episode of Damages.

Just saw the penultimate episode of what's probably the final series of Damages.

It still has me hooked, that's for sure.

But I am getting a strong feeling of annoyance at the sub plots. I feel they are all padding. I feel much of it is simply padding. Much of the actual screenplay - I feel they're filling in time - like they don't have much to say and yet they can't finish until they reach episode 10.

But actually they've got heaps to say, with these bloody subplots, don't they?

The soldier lover - how's he going to get on?

Mum and Dad - how's that going to work out?

Could have used lots of time fleshing all that out if they'd wanted/needed.  But now it all  has to  be resolved next week.

Ridiculous. Resolve the main issue is all that's needed.

But there you are, that's Damages, gets you hooked...
