TIBET has been forgotten. To hell with them. Who cares? And no one wants to upset China, of course, everyone is frightened of China. Money grubbing, ass-licking frightened of China.
This is the wrong time to be frightened of China. In five or ten years, maybe, but not now. Now is the time, maybe the last time, that China needs us. The last time we can talk straight to China.
When she's bigger and stronger she won't give a damn. Now she cares a little.
But SPORT is the buzzword. The olympics are SPORT. SPORT and politics shouldn't mix.
Hah. Hah. Hah. What a joke. So if you're playing football and on the sidelines someone is kicking an old lady to death you ignore it?
Well that's what's happening. Someone, somewhere in Tibet is probably kicking an old lady to death right now. And we, scrubbed clean, wealthy, well educated, humane, sensible citizens are going to ignore it.
Doesnt it all smack of the War Crimes Tribunal defence: "I was only doing what I was told." I'm a soldier and therefore little more than a robot. I must do what I'm told. I'm a sportsman and therefore little more than a robot, all I can do is sport.
Sport or music, eh? Nero fiddled while Rome burned.
