motivation

you can't rely on spontaneous enthusiasm forever.  sooner or later you have to manufacture enthusiasm.

decide for yourself what you are going to 'enthuse' about.  i.e. occupy yourself with.

some of us spend most of our lives having this served up to us by nature - god? - and all we do is follow the desire put into our heads and hearts, maybe.

butterflies flitting from enthusiasm to enthusiasm maybe.  or life-long devotees to one particular thing.

either way just going with the flow.

but there can come a time when the flow dries up and you wake in the morning and there's simply nothing you want to do.

and that's when you have to make it up for yourself.

that state is uninspired.  without inspiration.

uninspired is spiritless, too, dispirited.
